AOG and the pencil pushers at USMA are looking mighty dumb, pushing this one around!
As we of USMA '48 learned during our recent 60th reunion, the Supe seems to be a fairly savvy guy, in spite of his beliefs about changing wording associated with certain USMA tunes. (We'll all still sing the old words!)
But getting back on subject, has anyone called the Supe's attention to this stupidity promoted by his staff and by AOG?

I understand the AOG's and USMA's desire to control the use of the West Point crest. Controlling the use of a geographic name like "West Point" is a bit more confusing. West Point is the location where the US Military is located. The Army could decide to move USMA to Fort Riley, KS as part of the next BRAC, but West Point would still be on the map of the state of New York, about 50 miles north of the George Washington Bridge across the Hudson River. However, West Point is not unique to New York. I know there is a West Point, GA and I can only assume there are towns with the name of West Point in other states in the USA. I guess the use of WP-ORG would be ok as long as you don't identify WP as West Point?
Sounds like the current PAO just finished his branding class for his MBA. I understand why branding is important, but it's easy to go overboard very quickly.
How about a new name? Hudson High Alumni Association? Ring Knockers Anonymous?
